At FASHCON Weidong Guo, Sales Director for Esquel will discuss how his company has evolved its comprehensive sustainable supply chain - from fiber through to apparel manufacturing.  Facing all the challenges that other manufacturers face, Esquel has nonetheless managed to become a leader in environmentally conscious manufacturering.

 

Guo Weidong, born in Harbin, China. Graduate of the Beijing Forestry University with a BS degree in Forestry Management and then furthered his studies abroad at the University of Florida with a MS Degree in Forestry. Began career as a Research Associate at Chinese Academy of Forestry in China, and the State Environmental Plant Center in Colorado, USA. Since 1997 to today, Guo has been working for Esquel, a Hong Kong-based textile & apparel manufacture. Holding positions as Sales, Merchandizing and Marketing Director across the company’s fabric, yarn and accessories.
