10 Top Products from ISPO Textrends

Creativity has become the key to successful materials, with function and sustainability playing supporting roles.

Innovative print and dye techniques, digitalization and novel constructions are worked in both virgin and recycled yarns.  Further developments in recycled fibers are making this possible.

ISPO Textrends for ‘21/22 focused on three core directions:

Dig Deep - back to basics with newly engineered products that from initial appearance look very basic but on closer inspection reveal a more complex construction and composition.

Accepting the Challenge - how to define sustainability is tricky, with many elements to consider from waste reduction, durable garments, locations through to water and energy saving, biodegradability, recycled and recyclability.

Techno City Tales - This season’s Street Sports is one sector that took a big leap forward in terms of content and creativity.  Consumers are requesting multifunctional garments and this has led to textile manufacturers to create a strong sense of function and fashion. There is a big shift in fabrics traditionally destined for the outdoors sector offering duality for urban living as well as outdoor sporting activities.

Textrends highlighted materials that are both creativity and technical – all backed by created sustainability.
